Ellen we tells us about owning a small business and neglecting her health
After many seasons of snowboarding during the day and working in hospitality until the early hours, Ellen decided to go back to school and get an office gig. It was during this time that she discovered kombucha and became enamoured with its refreshing taste. She started making it at home and sharing it with friends and once she noticed its scarcity locally, she made it her mission to bring kombucha to the Sea to Sky Corridor. Her goal was simply to get a sample into your belly and help you pronounce KOM-BOO-CHA!
Spark Kombucha began serving uniquely dry brews in 2015 at the Whistler, Squamish, and Vancouver Farmer's Market. Specializing in dry brews, Spark's flavours are characteristically fizzy and tart, with just a hint of sweet.
Nicolette and Ellen met while working for the Municipality. Ellen tells us about how she grew her business and then dealt with the repercussions of owning a small business and neglecting her own health. She found meditation and Morning Miracles to help her through and learnt to not move so fast that she couldn’t think. You have to run a business successfully with self-care or the business starts running you. Contact Ellen to order your own Kombucha Brew kit.
