The must-see short film is set to be released in Spring 2022. In partnership with
FOOD REVOLUTION NETWORK
While fighting for change in the Canadian government, Nicolette Richer became aware of the growing chronic disease epidemic sweeping across industrialized nations. After witnessing a close friend reverse his cancer using traditional whole foods without conventional treatment of any kind, she dedicated her life to understanding and publicizing the message that food is medicine and our medicine is food. Her lifelong love for whole, real, plant-strong foods helped her to uncover her own ancestral South Asian and African roots, where she realized that traditional food ways hold the answers to resolving the chronic disease epidemic.
Grounded in my Roots follows Nicolette Richer’s emotional journey from Malawi, Africa to British Columbia and how this journey helped fuel her 22 Million Strong mission to teach 22 million people how to reverse chronic diseases using real, fresh, whole traditional foods.
This groundbreaking and inspiring short documentary opens viewer’s eyes to the role that food plays in our physical, mental and planetary health and invites people to explore their own ancestral food ways as a path to healing.
