Then I discovered that place in my apartment, called the kitchen and I went to cook and I was just deep into reading all the textbooks for nutrition school... cover to cover and highlighting them and making my own list of food that potentially would elevate inflammation in the body and a list of foods that would exasperate inflammation in the body and I only ate from the one column, which was very very long and predominately made up of food I’d never seen or heard of before and on the no list was, gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol and caffeine.

“my gastroenterologist said to me ‘keep eating your cheeseburgers, drink your milkshakes, thats not going to be the solution’ and i remember thinking, I dont eat cheeseburgers, I dont drink milkshakes anyway… it seemed to me common sense that what passes through the digestive tract would effect the health of the tissues of the digestive tract.”
